The HYDRA GOLIATH RAPID DC EV charger has been designed to simultaneously distribute load-balanced and rapid charging to up to three electric vehicles. Charging output to each vehicle depends on the configuration of the unit supplied; each EV can be charged at rates between 60kW and 180kW.
Fitted with a 10” touch-screen display, operating the unit is straightforward. The built-in RFID card reader and our optional PENSIO CONTACTLESS PAYMENT SOLUTION offer the widest possible opportunities, from ring-fenced workplace charging to open, chargeable, public access charging to maximise faster return on investment fully.
These payment/access systems are flexible enough to be able to use all options on one unit simultaneously, so a staff member can use an RFID card (their usage is logged separately), a paying member of the public can use another charging lead and pay with a credit card and a third could scan a QR code and pay online.
The Goliath can connect to our Hydra Nexus remote management facilities to offer a robust yet flexible, low-maintenance EV charging solution for commercial and public locations. Fees for public charging can similarly be set remotely by the operator and adjusted on-demand to reflect energy price fluctuations and other service overheads.
The Hydra management platforms can manage and monitor the usage of any Hydra EV charge point in real-time, including generating reports on peak and total usage, the owner of a Goliath EV charging installation.
Being OCPP compliant, it can also communicate with other cloud management platforms, such as Monta and Fuuse, if adding the Goliath to an existing EV charging network.
The floor-standing unit has a weatherproof rating of IP55 against dust and water ingress and a protection rating of IK10, making it very suitable for installation in unattended public locations The HYDRA GOLIATH RAPID DC EV CHARGER is fitted with the latest forced air-cooled charging gun technology and can be equipped with triple CCS2/CHAdeMO/Type 2 connectors or a mix of all three.
For safety, the Goliath has built-in functions that can shut down the charger if it detects input under voltage, input over-voltage, output short-circuit, output over-voltage, output over-current, battery reverse connection, insulation detection, communication failure, etc.
Additionally, there is a fail-safe emergency stop button, which can be manually operated in the event of a failure.
