Frequently Asked Questions
If the Cubus is offline it can be operated using the Hcharger App, that connects via Bluetooth. However, each Cubus is delivered with two RFID Tags that are preconfigured to operate the charger offline. Simply plug in, tap and go.
If the Cubus is online then its actions are controlled via the Nexus Cloud Pro management platform. This means the RFID tags need to be associated with your Nexus Cloud Pro account. If this is done the tag will operate any public Hydra charger as well as your own. Watch instructions here, but note that the charging cable needs to be plugged in for this operation, else the Cubus's RFID reader is not active.
Hydra Cubus is compatible with all Octopus energy tariffs, except the Intelligent Octopus Go. However, if your vehicle is compatible - the Hydra Cubus is eligible to work on the smart Intelligent Octopus Go. To find out more about smart tariff compatibility, please reach out us at 01268 205 121.
Set a two-part schedule, with one session from 23:30 to 00:00, and a second from 00:00 to 05:30. Disable the "Randomise Delay" (otherwise it should always be enabled) to ensure the transition from 23:59:59 to 00:00:00 takes place seamlessly. Click here to watch the tutorial video.
Hydra EVC has moved away from the Nexus Cloud platform to Nexus Cloud Pro. All chargers that could be migrated automatically have been migrated, so any chargers that couldn't be migrated will need to be moved manually. Please call us at 01268 205 121 for further assistance.
