Case Study: AIS Headquarters — Hydra Genesis AC Charging Hub
Client: Associated Independent Stores (AIS)
Location: AIS Headquarters
Hardware: 6 × Hydra Genesis 22 kW AC Chargers
Payment System: Nayax Contactless Tap-to-Pay
Scope: Fault diagnosis, on-site remediation, fleetwide verification, preventative aftercare
Project Overview
At the Associated Independent Stores (AIS) Headquarters, Hydra EVC delivered a six-bay Hydra Genesis AC charging hub, each outlet providing 22 kW charging power with Nayax tap-to-pay functionality for staff and visitors.
When one of the chargers developed a fault, Hydra EVC’s technical team responded swiftly to protect uptime on this live commercial site — combining remote triage with a same-day on-site visit for hands-on diagnostics and resolution.
Our Approach
-
Conducted remote triage followed by same-day site attendance
-
Performed electrical and communications checks and verified Nayax payment terminals
-
Refreshed charger configuration and completed functional tests
-
Proactively inspected the remaining five units, tightening terminations where needed
-
Verified earth-leakage protection and ran end-to-end payment test transactions
-
Confirmed accurate back-office reporting and network connectivity.
Results
✅ Full charging capacity restored within a single visit
✅ Verified payments and session starts across all six bays
✅ Preventative maintenance completed with minimal disruption
✅ Ongoing aftercare plan established for proactive health checks and alerting
Outcome
This project demonstrates Hydra EVC Ltd’s commitment to uptime, reliability, and long-term service, even on existing installations. The AIS site now operates at full efficiency, supported by a light aftercare plan for continuous performance monitoring and preventative maintenance.
