PLUG-IN GRANT
The Plug-In Grant has been developed by OZEV to assist and incentivize car owners in the UK to switch over from their conventional vehicles to electric ones. You can get a discount on the price of brand new low-emission vehicles through this grant the government gives to vehicle dealerships and manufacturers.
Vehicles eligible for a grant are split into categories:
– Cars
– Motorcycles
– Mopeds
– Small Vans
– Large Vans
– Taxis
– Trucks
The grant will pay for 35% of the
purchase price for Cars,
up to a maximum of £1,500.
For Motorcycles and Mopeds the grant will pay up
to £500 and £150 respectively.
The grant changes to 35% of the purchase price for Vans, up to a maximum of £2,500.
Again the grant will pay for 35% of the
purchase price for Large Vans,
but up to a maximum of £5,000.
The grant will pay for 20% of the
purchase price for Taxis,
up to a maximum of £7,500.
For Trucks the grant will pay for 20% of the
purchase price, up to a maximum of £16,000 for the first 250 orders placed,
limited to 10 per customer. After the 250 order limit is reached the maximum
grant rate of £6,000 will apply.
