The driver have access to real-time traffic information, favourite routes and saved destinations on the eye-level screen. Other vehicle features and music remain accessible, even if Waze is activated. This new experience with Waze is available in European countries for all Nouvel Austral and Mégane E-Tech electric customers equipped with the OpenR screen and the OpenR Link interface with integrated Google.

Customers can download and install the Waze app for OpenR Link either directly from Google Play via their OpenR Link interface in their vehicle, or from their My Renault mobile app. Customers can then create a Waze account or use an existing Waze account for safe driving, always free of charge.

Google Maps also recently added EV chargepoint locations to its software.

An electric vehicle that ventures off the beaten track: that is what the rugged 4EVER Trophy show car strives to convey. An EV designed for the great outdoors. The dune-buggy vibe gives 4EVER Trophy a competitive look.

The front overhang has been shortened considerably for a greater ground clearance. With a spare tyre located on the carbon fibre roof, and a shovel and waffle boards on the upper section of the rear door, the car is ready to tackle any situation.

The body protection panels on the lower section are made with a 20cm clearance around the wheel arches. The high-seated body highlights the width of the 753mm wheels mounted on 19” rims. The underbelly has been reinforced to provide greater protection for the battery located in the middle of the chassis.

Like the Renault 5, it will be made using the new CMF-BEV platform for B segment electric vehicles. The platform is slated to give the best performance in terms of range, acoustics, and on-road behaviour, without compromising on the design.

The market positioning of the future Renault 5 and Renault 4 will be much like that of Clio and Captur. The 4EVER Trophy and Renault 5 Prototype on display at the Renault stand during the Paris Motor Show embody Renault’s nouvelle vague.

Like its predecessor, the future vehicle built off 4EVER Trophy’s design will be made in France. Thanks to their shared traits, all vehicles using the CMF-BEV platform will be built in the ElectriCity hub in northern France.

With a standard 7kW chargepoint, the battery can be charged from 20-80 per cent in five hours. On the road, drivers can add 30 miles of charge in 2 hours using an 11kW charging station or go from 20-80 per cent charge in five hours. A 22kW DC charger adds 30 miles of range in 45 minutes, with the battery boosted from 20-80 per cent in 90 minutes.

As well as enjoying environmental gains, such as zero tailpipe emissions in-use and near silent operation, together with lower running costs, Master E-Tech customers benefit from the traditional versatility and practicality of the Master. With a load volume of up to 4.2m3, up to 615kg of payload, and 1,500kg of towing capacity, the All New Kangoo E-Tech electric delivers up to 186 miles (WLTP) of driving range thanks to its generous 45 kWh battery, located under the load floor where it has no impact on the cargo area. It can be recharged by a typical 7.4 kW Wallbox in under seven hours, while rapid DC charging at up to 75 kW can deliver an 80% charge in around 43 minutes. Recharging at a typical 22kW public charger from 15 to 80 percent takes only 1.5 hours, while a generous warranty covers the battery’s performance for 8 years or 100,000 miles.

The 14-seat L2H2 MWB minibus with zero tailpipe emissions replaces an older diesel model, taking an estimated 6.4 tonnes of CO2 off the road each year.  Powered by a R75 electric motor and 33kWh batteries charged using 100% green energy from power firm Ecotricity that includes some energy generated onsite from solar panels on the stadium roof, the electric minibus provides a range of around 80 miles, ideal for operating on local routes.

The cleaner, quieter electric minibus will be used primarily to transfer the Forest Green Rovers’ Academy and Ladies teams between training grounds, as well as supporting local marketing events around Gloucestershire and transporting club sponsors and VIPs on match days. 

The Master E-Tech minibus was officially handed over to Forest Green Rovers’ Chairman, Dale Vince, Club CEO Henry Staelens and First Team Head Coach Rob Edwards by Renault Trucks’ Head of Brand and Communications, Alex Williams, and Head of LCV, Grahame Neagus, on 18th April at The New Lawn Stadium before club’s penultimate home match of the 2021/22 season against Oldham Athletic.

The all-electric model scored 85% for adult occupant protection, 88% on child occupation protection, 65% for vulnerable road users and 79% for safety assist. 

Contributing to the impressive occupant safety scores of the All-New Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric are its exceptionally stiff body structure and seven airbags, while a total of 26 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) saw it achieve its high mark for safety assist.

The ADAS features are divided into three categories: driving, parking and safety. Standout additions are Active Driver Assist, which is now classed as Level 2 vehicle autonomy, combining contextual adaptive cruise control with “Stop & Go, Lane Keeping Assist, and Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, which is an automatic emergency braking system that activates when the driver is reversing. The system initially provides a visual and audible initial warning, with the brakes automatically applied should the driver not react.

Other innovations are the smart speed limiter, which uses a front camera and the navigation system to determine the current speed limit and adjusts the speed limiter, cruise control, or adaptive cruise control to suit, and Occupant Safe Exit (OSE) that warns an occupant of an approaching vehicle, motorcycle or cyclist as they open a car door.

The Mégane E-Tech also has a QR code on the windscreen, which can be quickly scanned by rescue teams to reveal the location of the car’s battery and airbags for quick and risk-free cutting.

The new model is available with two battery options: 40kWh for a range of up to 186 miles (WLTP), and 60kWh for up to 292 miles of range (WLTP). AC 22 and DC charging up to 130kW are standard, achieving faster charging and up to 186 miles in just 30 minutes
