The New E-Doblò is the third electric vehicle for FIAT PROFESSIONAL, after E-Ducato and E-Scudo. In the UK, the new Doblò will be available in two lengths with two different configurations (Van and Crew Cab). The E-Doblò offers a payload of up to 800 kg on both wheelbases, allowing to load to 2 euro-pallets.

Magic Cargo allows for a 0.5 m3 increase in cargo volume and the possibility of loading long objects like pipes or ladders up to 3.4 m of load length. To add more space, it is possible to raise the seat on the passenger side and use the compartment underneath for boxes or fragile objects. There is also a rotating tray table to turn the Doblò cabin into a mobile office.

Magic Mirror is a 5” digital rearview mirror providing three different views: a rearview mirror, a complete view of the blind spot area and rear parking camera improving visibility and safety.

Magic Plug makes it possible to use the van’s battery for specific conversion needs like a cargo fridge or a workbench for power tools.

The long-wheelbase version reaches a maximum volume of 4.4 m3. The Crew Cab long wheelbase body allows a unique modularity between seat and cargo space, thanks to a sliding bulkhead, which enables the adjustment of cargo space or passenger seating as needed.

The E-Doblò is equipped with a 100-kW electric motor and a 50kWh battery that allows a range of more than 173 miles. “Rapid Charge Mode” can accommodate charging up to 100 kW, which could charge up to 80% of capacity in just 30 minutes.

Ford has revealed first details of the all-electric, E-Transit Custom. The all-electric E-Transit began production in March this year – the first of four all-electric commercial vehicles due by 2024 – and the E-Transit Custom is aiming to set a benchmark in the one-tonne van segment.

The E-Transit Custom’s all-electric architecture is said to deliver a driving range of up to 236 miles, DC fast-charging and full towing capability.

“This is a watershed moment for commercial vehicle operators in Europe, and another hugely significant realisation of our Ford Pro ambitions,” said Hans Schep, general manager, Ford Pro, Europe. “Europe’s best-selling van just went all-electric and – supported by our unique Ford Pro one-stop-shop of productivity-boosting services – the operating benefits this will bring to business across Europe cannot be overstated.”

Among features developed using feedback from van users the E-Transit Custom is fitted with ProPower which will provide power for tools, lights and devices while on site.

Earlier this year Ford announced that by 2024, four further new all-electric vehicles will join the E-Transit two-tonne van as part of the iconic Transit family, including the Transit Custom and Transit Courier vans, as well as Tourneo Custom and Tourneo Courier people movers.

The all-electric E-Transit Custom will enter production in the second half of 2023 – part of the most extensive Transit Custom range ever offered to European customers. Further product details will be released in September 2022.

Forest Green Rovers, probably the world’s greenest football club, has partnered with Renault Trucks with its first 100% electric team minibus, a Renault Trucks Master E-Tech.

The 14-seat L2H2 MWB minibus with zero tailpipe emissions replaces an older diesel model, taking an estimated 6.4 tonnes of CO2 off the road each year. Powered by a R75 electric motor and 33kWh batteries charged using 100% green energy from power firm Ecotricity that includes some energy generated onsite from solar panels on the stadium roof, the electric minibus provides a range of around 80 miles, ideal for operating on local routes.

The cleaner, quieter electric minibus will be used primarily to transfer the Forest Green Rovers’ Academy and Ladies teams between training grounds, as well as supporting local marketing events around Gloucestershire and transporting club sponsors and VIPs on match days.

The Master E-Tech minibus was officially handed over to Forest Green Rovers’ Chairman, Dale Vince, Club CEO Henry Staelens and First Team Head Coach Rob Edwards by Renault Trucks’ Head of Brand and Communications, Alex Williams, and Head of LCV, Grahame Neagus, on 18th April at The New Lawn Stadium before club’s penultimate home match of the 2021/22 season against Oldham Athletic.

Dale Vince, Chairman of Forest Green Rovers, said “Renault Truck’s new minibus is a great addition to FGR’s growing fleet of electric vehicles. It’s perfect for our academy and will help us as we drive the last bits of fossil fuel use out of the club and our carbon footprint to zero.”

Alex Williams commented: “As the first commercial vehicle dealer network in the UK to commit to net zero by 2030, Renault Trucks firmly shares Forest Green Rovers’ sustainability ambitions. We are very proud to support the world’s greenest football club with a Renault Trucks Master E-Tech minibus, powered by renewable energy, that will drive Forest Green Rovers fight against climate change further forward ahead of its League One campaign next season.”

The Master E-Tech was converted by Minibus Options, one of Renault Trucks’ approved converters from its Ready for Business range, a leader in people transportation for over 30 years. Local service for the vehicle will be provided by Renault Trucks Commercials in Bristol.

Peugeot has recorded over 1,000 Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Light Commercial Vehicle sales so far in 2022, ranking as the number one brand with over 50% share of the market in February.

The e-Partner, e-Expert and e-Boxer form a complete line-up of electric vans to suit a wide section of customer needs. No compromise in practicality is made compared with the diesel versions, whilst offering all the advantages of the electric powertrain: lower running costs, ease of driving, immediate throttle response, high torque and the absence of noise, vibrations, odours and tailpipe emissions.

PEUGEOT’s passenger car range will be joined by the new 308 and new 308 SW later this year.
