Two Hydra Zodiacs 22kw EV chargepoints for workplace and customer charging

D Salmon Cars in Colchester had two 22kW Hydra Zodiac EV chargepoints installed. One outside for staff and customer use and one inside for charging Electric Vehicles and hybrids when the car is in for servicing.

Both EV chargepoints are untethered (socket only) allowing the use of the original Type-2 charging cable which came with the car.

The 22kW utilises the three-phase electrical supply more commonly found in commercial properties to charge at the higher rate of up to 22kW (where the EV can accommodate it). This brings charging times down so that an EV could be fully recharged during the working day.
