Citroën has also announced a comprehensive service package for Ami 100% ëlectric, My Ami Care, covering routine servicing and maintenance. It also features an extended vehicle warranty, battery warranty and extended breakdown cover depending on the chosen package length. Packages will be available ranging from two to five years in duration.

As an electric mobility solution, Ami emits zero emissions in use and has a 5.5kWh battery that recharges in just three hours. With a range of 46 miles (WMTC*) and a top speed of 28mph.

Ami 100% ëlectric is available in a choice of variants, My Ami Colour (Grey, Orange & White), My Ami Pop, My Ami Tonic as well as the commercial My Ami Cargo – an innovative solution to urban last-mile deliveries. With a payload of up to 140kg, a maximum load capacity of 400-litres and a tight 7.20m turning circle, My Ami Cargo is designed for businesses working in cities and urban areas and is also available only via the online platform.

UBITRICITY

To celebrate the launch of Ami 100% ëlectric in the UK, Citroën has partnered with charging provider ubitricity, a member of the Shell Group, to make owning and using Ami 100% ëlectric more accessible to those who do not have off-street parking. The first 2,000 UK customers of Ami 100% ëlectric will receive three months of free charging across ubitricity’s network of more than 5,400 lamppost chargers in Greater London and in a growing number of locations across the UK.

MY AMI CARE

Customers of Ami 100% ëlectric will be able to purchase a comprehensive service package with their Ami. My Ami Care gives Ami customers complete peace of mind during ownership and covers routine servicing, and maintenance, and includes an extended vehicle warranty, battery warranty and extended breakdown cover depending on their chosen package length. Customers can choose a My Ami Care package between two and five years. Each package includes a 10,000 miles per annum limit, up to a maximum of five years and 50,000 miles.

My Ami Care is available online initially for customers paying cash for their Ami 100% ëlectric. Finance customers wishing to purchase My Ami Care will need to do so, in the first instance, at an Ami participating retailer or authorised repairer. This service will be available online at a later date.

With prices starting from £7,695 OTR MRRP, Ami 100% ëlectric is available to order online now. As part of Citroën’s ‘Fair Pricing’ policy, Ami 100% ëlectric can be had for just £19.99 per month with a customer deposit on Personal Contract Purchase (PCP), over 24 months. Those who have already purchased their Ami 100% ëlectric will be contacted and given full details on how they can purchase My Ami Care at their local Citroën Ami network retailer.

Citroën Ami drivers can connect their phone to the Ami via the DAT@AMI dongle, allowing them to access key vehicle information, such as charge level, via the My Citroën app. Now, through ‘My Ami Play’ and ‘Citroën Switch’, owners can also access more features such as navigation or internet radio, and make calls via Bluetooth, with their smartphone doubling as an infotainment screen.  

Gilles Scafarto, Head of Connected Services Strategy at Citroën, said: “Customers like to have access to their favourite navigation and media apps while driving. ‘My Ami Play’ is a major innovation to meet this need in complete safety. Citroën has gone even further by offering an additional solution enabling them to stream radio while enhancing and simplifying the driving experience.”

Users of ‘My Ami Play’ can customise the app interface to include their favourite functions such as Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Deezer or Apple Music. Coupled with the optional Ultimate Ears Boom 3 Ami Bluetooth speaker, which sits into a specially designed slot in the dashboard, drivers can enjoy all of their media in Ami 100% ëlectric.

‘Citroën Switch’ is a new steering wheel control unit that connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth®, with drivers able to access their phone through the steering wheel without taking their eyes off the road. The driver has the choice of positioning the ‘Citroën Switch’ wherever they choose on the steering wheel or throughout the cabin, to ensure ease of use. The smartphone can be placed in the holder on the dashboard which then functions as Ami’s infotainment screen.

The base ‘Ami’ trim starts at only £7,695 OTR and includes a digital speedometer, LED front and rear lights, a panoramic glass sunroof and a USB charging port.

The three Colour Packs: Orange, Blue or Grey are priced at £400 and are designed to be fitted by the customer. Each pack comes with colour-coded wheel trims, colour-coded rear pillar decals, three colour-coded dashboard storage boxes, a colour-coded dashboard bag hook, exterior door capsules, two door storage nets with a colour-coded horizontal band and two black floor mats with colour-coded trim.

They also include a separation net between the driver and passenger footwells, a smartphone cradle for the dashboard and the DAT@AMI connection box that allows customers to check their Ami’s charge status and connect to the MyCitroën mobile app.

‘Ami Pop’ is priced at £8,495 and combines the Orange Colour Pack with black trim on the Ami’s ‘front face’, lower front and rear bumpers, and around the rear lights. Helping it stand out even more, ‘Ami Pop’ also features a black rear spoiler and orange decals surrounding the door capsules featuring a number ‘2’ design.

‘Ami Vibe’ costs £8,895 and includes the Grey Colour Pack, a black finish to the top of the front bumper, front and rear bumper bases, and rear light surrounds, and adds two decorative black roof rails, black wheel arches and ‘Contours’ decals on the doors and front wings.

The commercial ‘My Ami Cargo’ is offered in a single specification priced at £7,995. In place of the passenger seat, My Ami Cargo features a modular storage area that can be configured for a range of business needs including a unique ‘mobile office’ layout, a divider between the driver and cargo areas, a modular cargo floor with two positions, and a lidded box in the rear creating 260-litres of storage space. Coupled with the interior storage already present on-board, My Ami Cargo offers a total load capacity of 400-litres.

All versions of Ami feature a 6kW electric motor, allowing the new model to reach a top speed of 27.9mph, and a 5.5kWh battery that gives it a range of over 46 miles . A charging cable is built into the passenger door frame, which attaches via an adapter to a Type 2 connector, allowing a full charge to be completed in just three hours from a home Wallbox or a public charging point.
